Melissa Smith

Melissa became interested in animal welfare when she got her first dog whilst living abroad. She returned to the UK and retrained as a Veterinary Nurse at an orthopaedic referral hospital, qualifying in 2012. She then spent some years working in London for a vet charity as a Community and Education Nurse dedicated to improving the health and happiness of the UK's pets.

After moving to Scotland to be with her partner in 2018, Melissa joined Dental Vets in January 2019 and is loving being back in clinical practice and part of a great referral team.

When not at work Melissa enjoys running and challenging herself to climb mountains, most recently Ben Nevis. She now has her sights set on the many other Munros in Scotland.
