Referral & Clinical services - Vet's Guide

Dentalvets provide a full referral service for all oral cavity problems, as well as independent advice on equipment and operatory design. The case type on the right sidebar gives some useful information about the different problems we see and how we deal with them. The list is not exhaustive though. If you have a problem not listed please call or send photos.

Booking cases direct

Veterinary surgeons and their clients can book cases direct us over the telephone - 01620 890 002. See Locations & Links for details of your nearest practice. The receptionist will advise the information required and you (the client) will receive an information pack. This is also available as a download in the Locations & Links page.

A history fax to our office (01620 890 002) is much appreciated . The more information we have the better prepared we will be for your client. Blood test results, biopsy reports and radiographs are all essential to this process.

Communication

The essence of a good referral service is an easy communication triangle between the first opinion and the referral vet and the owners of the animal.

We aim to have a full written clinical reports faxed to you within 24 hours of seeing the case. Full written reports with photos and radiographs follow by first class post.

How to contact us

Fax facilities are good but e-mail is much better. If you supply me with an e-mail address I can not only send you the report but also supporting articles and references I have on file.

For difficult cases we have access to a closed bulletin board of the top 110 veterinary dentists in the world – all diplomates of the American Veterinary Dental College.

If you would prefer an e-mail, send me a quick e-mail NOW and I will keep your address on file.

Download Service

We intend to develop a download service that includes a number of helpful dental items for your practice. Charts and information sheets will form the mainstay of material but course notes can be requested by referral veterinary surgeons via e-mail.
