We have two locations. For
Norman Johnston is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry and a diplomate of the American and European Veterinary Dental Colleges. In addition he is a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry. He is the only UK veterinary surgeon to hold these qualifications. His CV also includes honorary fellowships at two UK veterinary schools and he is a charter member and past president (1991-1995) of the British Veterinary Dental Association and current president of the European Veterinary Dental College. He was awarded the Simon Award from the British Small Animal Veterinary Association in 1997 for "outstanding contributions to veterinary surgery".
We are also a major education provider in the UK, both to veterinary schools and, via post-graduate courses, to veterinary surgeons and nurses in practice. Our teaching models have been developed over fifteen years and are in use all over the world. Over half of the UK veterinary surgeons since 1995 have been taught by us.

Our referral and clinical section provides a list of problems and some background information to help with treatment option discussions before referral. Our new dedicated facility in North Berwick provides custom courses for your staff - vets and nurses. We can provide an exclusive day for a practice or you can share with others. We have also invested in the LightSpeed system of nickel titanium files and handpieces for root canal work. The whole kit involves a major change in the way root canals are filed, shaped and filled. After two years we are very happy with the results and , in particular, with the quality of the canal obturation. We added a cold fill system called GuttaFlow which combines cement and rubber in one injectable compound. Results in large immature canals (and zoo animals!) are very promising. |
